Publication: Iulianella Lab
“Characterization of Social and Repetitive Behaviors of Mllt11/Af1q/TcF7c Conditional Knockout Mice”
The first publication of 2026 for the Iulianella lab, was led by Drs Emily Witt and Danielle Stanton-Turcotte, with help from previous undergraduates Pristine Garay and Jinrong Ge.
Their study modelled neruodevelopmental disorders in mice, which exhibit reductions in callosal tracts that connect the brain hemispheres. They showed the importance of the novel neurodevelopmental disorder candidate gene Mllt11 in regulating callosal development and social and anxiety disorders, with female mice being more severely affected.
