—————

The Brain Bee has been held internationally for more than 35 years and is used as an opportunity to engage high school students to learn the base levels of neuroscience with a goal of attracting bright minds to the field. Along with the competition, the students will be given lab tours of the Brain Repair Centre, providing them with insight into the inner workings of brain research.

The Brain Bee is a three-tiered (local, national, international) organization involving regional and national competitions around the world. The winner of the Halifax Brain Bee will compete at the national level in Canada. This year, the International Brain Bee championships will be hosted virtually in Paris, France.

The Halifax Brain Bee is hosted by the Brain Repair Centre, a neuroscience research centre located in the Life Sciences Research Institute at Dalhousie University.
