Our Facilities

Life Sciences Research Institute

Opened in 2011, the Life Sciences Research Institute (LSRI) is a bright, open and spacious modern building in the heart of Nova Scotia’s academic health sciences network — next door to Dalhousie University Medical School and across the street from the QEII Health Sciences Centre and IWK Health Centre.

A joint initiative between Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia Health Authority and the IWK Health Centre, it is home to our administrative offices, state-of-the-art core facilities and a number of neuroscience research labs. We house more than $22 million of federally-funded equipment, secured by our researchers and used in our work every day.
