Publication News: Iulianella Lab

"The cerebellum is a part of the brain that controls the integration of sensory information as well as locomotion. It is a region that is increasingly being implicated in neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism. New research published from the Iulianella Lab has revealed that an oncoprotein called Mllt11 controls the migration of neurons and proper formation of the cerebellum. Study was led by Marley Blommers, who is currently a medical student at Dalhousie, with help from Dr. Danielle Stanton-Turcotte, Dr. Emily Witt, and Mohsen Heidari".
